Selection Process
The criteria detailed below are used to determine a student’s eligibility for the Accelerated Math Program. A selection team will review the data to obtain an accurate, well-rounded picture of each student’s performance. All data is based on academic and habitual evidence that students have consistently demonstrated throughout the year; decisions are based upon this evidence, not on potential. |
Criteria One NWEA Math Performance. This assesses a student’s grade-level proficiency. Students need to earn a score in the Exceeds category. Student Appplication |
Criteria TwoMath Grades Strong mathematics performance in previous grade and consistent attendance. Teacher recommendation. Teacher will gather classroom observation data on how consistently students demonstrate, in class, the following attributes.

Criteria ThreeIXL Diagnostic Score Assessment data shows the level of mastery a student is working at. Their weekly work in IXL demonstrates fluency with difficult math skills and concepts and their thirst for greater knowledge and pursues it independently. Attendance Outstanding attendance. |
